How Does It Work?

ProteinChip®Array preparation in 3 steps:

Step 1:  Application of crude biological Samples such as serum, urine, CSF and cell lysates on spot

Step 2: Removal of unbound proteins with washes

Step 3: Application of Energy absorbing molecules on each spot for desorption and ionization of proteins

Analysis:

The desorption and ionization of proteins bound to the chromatographic surface of the array is performed by a nitrogen laser. The ProteinChip Software calculates the mass of each protein and peptide detected. The mass/charge values and quantities of the proteins or peptides can be viewed in different formats, such as gel or line view.
