We are particularly interested in improving pain control after cardiac surgery by administering medications and performing nerve blocks, and optimizing nutrition and hydration before cardiac surgery.

Specific research topics include:

  • Cardiac surgery
  • Enhanced recovery
  • Pain control
  • Regional anesthesia
  • Prehabilitation
  • Preoperative nutrition
  • Patient-centered outcomes
  • Postoperative delirium
  • Perioperative blood transfusion
