Nathalie Johnson, Principal Investigator at the LDI, Associate Professor of Experimental Medicine, and Associate Professor of Oncology, at McGill University, has been appointed the Louis Lowenstein Chair in Hematology & Oncology. The Chair was established in 1990 to honour Dr. Louis Lowenstein, Chief Hematologist at the Royal Victoria Hospital, who was a pioneer in what was a relatively new field at the time of his practice. McGill Endowed chairs recognize the continued contributions of senior-level faculty and provide funds to push the frontiers of their scholarship.
