The Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research (LDI) is the research arm of the Jewish General Hospital (JGH), one of Montreal’s leading hospitals, which is affiliated with the Integrated Health and Social Services University Network for West-Central Montreal (CIUSSS West-Central Montreal) and is administered by the CIUSSS.

The CIUSSS West-Central Montreal is one of the largest health and social services network in the Montreal area, regrouping over 30 facilities (including the JGH and an interlocking array of three specialized hospitals, five CLSCs, two rehabilitation centres, six long-term care sites, two day centres and several affiliated research facilities) and serving a population of approximately 380,000.

CIUSSS West-Central Montreal’s services and programs span the continuum of healthcare, from hospital to community integrated services to residential care. Treatment and care are provided by a staff of more than 11,000, and over 750 doctors. On top of clinical activities, research and teaching play an integral part in the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal network.

For its part, the Jewish General Hospital (JGH), repeatedly ranked by Newsweek among the top 3 hospitals in Quebec, among the top 10 in Canada and among the top 125 in the world, is an acute and specialized care McGill University teaching hospital. The JGH has been serving a diverse patient population irrespective of religion, language, or ethnic background since it was founded in 1934. It provides the highest quality of medical and healthcare services, stemming from a respectful collaboration and partnership between users and health and social service professionals, staff and administration.
