Dr. Vicky Tagalakis’ research program theme is in venous thromboembolism (VTE) with a focus in population level epidemiologic studies to address prognosis, etiologic risk factors and management of thrombotic disorders, with an added focus on cancer related thrombotic disorders. Her program focuses on leveraging large scale healthcare administrative databases to conduct population-based studies on quality of care and effectiveness related to the management of VTE and is based on the use of pharmacoepidemiology methodology to address effects.
